A food journal app for the dishes you eat out

Palytt is a restaurant food journal: remember the dish, the place and whether you'd order it again. Your verdicts build a profile and food map, earn XP and improve future dish matches. It is not a calorie, macro or nutrition tracker; use a dedicated nutrition app if that is what you need.

Free for iPhone and iPad, with no sponsored picks.

Your best dinner note is simple: would you order it again?

What should a restaurant food journal remember?

  • The exact dish. A restaurant can serve one meal you love and another you would skip.
  • Your verdict. Mark “I'd order again” or “Skip next time” instead of forcing every meal into a star rating.
  • Where you ate it. Your profile and food map keep the dish connected to the restaurant.
  • What your friends tried. An Order Guide shows which friends had each dish and what they thought.

How does the Palytt food journal work?

Log the dish

Post the dish, scan a menu, or use an on-device receipt scan to help record the meal.

Leave a clear verdict

Choose “I'd order again” or “Skip next time.” Each interaction earns XP.

Use it next time

Your history shapes 0–100 dish match scores and helps the next Order Guide fit your taste.

What is this food diary not for?

Palytt does not track calories, macros, nutrients, water, symptoms or home-cooked meal portions. People searching for those features should choose a dedicated nutrition or health diary.

It also does not place delivery orders, make reservations or promise live menus and prices. Palytt's lane is remembering restaurant dishes and helping you know what to order from your own taste and friends' verdicts.

How does a journal improve future picks?

A dish gets a personal 0–100 score only when Palytt has enough basis in your taste profile and verdicts. Otherwise the Order Guide labels crowd evidence as “Popular here.” Your journal is useful on its own, and it also gives future recommendations better evidence.
